| Physical Description: |
Miniature Bull Terriers share the same traits as Bull Terriers, excepting size. The Miniature Bull Terrier has a height limit of 14 inches and generally weigh between 20-35 pounds.
The Miniature Bull Terriers are strong bodied. They are muscular around the shoulders and the fore body. The Miniature Bull Terrier has a short coat that requires very minimal grooming.
The head of the Miniature Bull Terrier is like the standard and is "egg-shaped." It is flat on top with a long arched muzzle. The ears are erect and are not cropped or otherwise altered.

| Breed Origins: |
Like many of the bull family, the Bull Terrier originated in Great Britain. It was bred for bloodsports like bullbaiting and dog fighting, but was also used for vermin control.
The breed has been mixed with a large range of breed to give it its distinctive appearance. The more obvious origins are the original English Bulldog and the Manchester Terrier. Some other breeds thought to be part of the Bull Terrier's ancestors include the Dalmatian, Greyhound, Whippet and Borzoi.

Miniature Bull Terriers are very intelligent on one hand and very willful on the other. These to factors make the Bull Terrier difficult to train.
Despite their origins as fighters, the Bull Terrier and Miniature Bull Terrier is a very affectionate dog. With proper training and attention, Bull Terriers make excellent family pets.
Because of their nature, Bull Terriers are protective of children their adopted families. However care must be taken with young Bull Terrier. Because the combination of their power and playfulness, it is possible for children to be inadvertently hurt during playtime. This is much less likely to happen with fully adult Bull Terriers. |
